From place to pattern

01 / Observe A public aerial image is requested for the selected extent. The application does not retain the image.

02 / Extract Browser-side clustering finds four to six dominant colors and sorts them from shadow to highlight.

03 / Structure Choose emergent reaction–diffusion, broad M81-style organic forms, or randomized M90-style splinters. Optional gradation blends darker layers over an opaque light base.

TURING / 1952

Alan Turing proposed that interacting chemicals—morphogens—could react and diffuse at different rates, allowing ordered structures to emerge from small random disturbances. This generator uses that principle as creative inspiration, not as a reproduction of Turing’s exact equations.
